Pheasant’s Eye is not only famous as a beautiful early spring flower but has also long been used for its medicinal properties in thetreatment of heart diseases.
The report summarizes available informaion on the species’ biology and analyses its conservation status. While facing extinction risks from both habitat loss and over-harvesting for international trade, the species mays benefit from the recommenndations elaborated by the author.
